Spike acquires Viz apparel licence

Leading apparel licensee, Spike Leisurewear, has acquired the rights to create Viz t-shirts. 'Sid The Sexist' and 'Johnny Fartpants' designs will be fetaured in Spike's new Autumn catalogue. The deal was brokered by Claire Potter of Metrostar with Richard Marks at Spike.

Claire Potter comments :

"Viz has surprised us all with its strong apparel sales in 2010 at retail and many new licensees are taking a serious look at this funny brand. We're especially keen to be working with Spike who offer a different kind of retail opportunity for Viz and we're looking forward to working with them to bring it to retail."
