First Peep Show licences signed

Metrostar, the licensing agency set up by ex-BBC Worldwide marketer Claire Potter, has announced some early deals for its BAFTA winning comedy property, ‘Peep Show’.

Danilo is developing a range of greetings cards, whilst Pyramid Posters will be launching posters, calendars and badges. Separately, a ‘Peep Show’ enhanced scripts book has been published by Transworld. Metrostar is also in conversation with licensees in apparel and giftware.

Claire Potter comments: “Peep Show is a unique and completely underexploited property which resonates hugely with its young Channel 4 audience. It has performed brilliantly for five series on screen and on DVD but this is its first foray into licensing and we’ve been delighted with the reaction to it from licensees.”

Peep Show is produced by Objective Productions and series six will be transmitted in 2009 on Channel 4. Series seven has been commissioned for 2010.
