'Spooks' is the BBC's flagship spy drama. Regularly attracting over 6 million viewers to BBC One it has recently been commissioned for an ninth consecutive series.
Through the adventures of ‘Section D’ - a crack team of spies in MI5’s counter-terrorism department, ‘Spooks’ unlocks the secret world of the 21st century Security Service. Their job is to outwit the country’s smartest criminal minds.
‘Spooks’ was created by David Wolstencroft and stars Peter Firth (Harry), Hermione Norris (Ros) and Richard Armytage (Lucas) and is screened on BBC One and BBC Three. Previous series are repeated regularly on satellite channels.
‘Spooks’ is sold to countries including the USA (as ‘MI5’), Australia, France, Italy, Eire, Canada, Spain, Russia and many Far Eastern and Eastern European territories. It has won many television awards including ‘Best Drama Series’ BAFTA 2003, Royal Television Society 2004 & Broadcast 2002.
