Transworld wins 3-way pitch for 'The Rules of Modern Policing'
The Rules of Modern Policing - 1973 Edition is a hilarious spoof police handbook ‘written by’ DCI Gene Hunt of Life on Mars and covering everything the ‘70s copper needs to know, from planting evidence to crashing into cardboard boxes. Designed as an authentic facsimile edition – complete with blood and coffee stains – it will make the perfect stocking filler this Christmas. The book was the subject of a bidding war between three major publishers and was eventually sold to Transworld for a high five-figure sum. Life On Mars is the critically acclaimed, award-winning BBC drama produced by Kudos Film & Television. The 'Rules' concept was developed by Metrostar's Stuart Cooper, writer Guy Adams and designer Lee Thompson, in conjunction with Kudos and the BBC.
