Metrostar brings new game show, ‘Win My Wage’, to Brand Licensing Europe

Metrostar, the licensing and literary agent formed by ex-BBC Worldwide marketer Claire Potter, is bringing Hotbed Media’s ‘Win My Wage’ to Brand Licensing for the first time.

Occupying the ‘Deal Or No Deal’ slot, ‘Win My Wage’ is Channel 4’s new big-money game show presented by Nick Hancock.

Each day a different contestant tries to guess who is the highest earner among the eight people in front of them. They have to whittle the group down to one – whose salary they’ll take away as their prize. But will they pick the £75,000 a year company director or the £3,000 a year part time dinner lady?

Metrostar’s Claire Potter comments,

“This is a totally original and compelling game play. The most engrossing I have experienced since ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’. There will be arguments in front TVs, consoles and mobiles once this gets out.”

Hotbed’s Emma Taylor adds,

“To begin with it looks like a breeze. The trouble is there’s little to give the game away. Earners only speak to introduce themselves and wear the same costume. Contestants rely on their instincts, pre-conceptions and prejudices and it’s remarkable how quickly the jitters set in when these let them down.”

Series one of ‘Win My Wage’ was screened on Channel 4 during July and August and attracted over 25% of the available audience. Channel 4’s average audience share is 8.9%.

In total, over 9 million people watched ‘Win My Wage’.
